🤝 How Does Isotope by Redcon1 in a Protein Shaker?
No problems mixing at all. I just kept it with water. Directions state to use 4-6 fl oz with 1 scoop. I usually do 2 scoops with 12 fl oz.
Mixability: 10. Like no powder ever existed after shaking it up.
🧪 What Ingredients are Found in Isotope by Redcon1?
You already know how I feel how about a small ingredient list. Isotope knocks it out of the park!

|Whey Protein Isolate
|A high-quality, fast-digesting protein source. It provides the bulk of the protein content and is ideal for muscle recovery and growth.
|Natural and Artificial Flavor
|Used to enhance the taste of the protein powder. These flavors determine the specific taste profile of the product, like chocolate, vanilla, etc.
|Added in small amounts to improve flavor. Salt can enhance the overall taste profile of the protein powder.
|A thickening agent. It helps give the protein shake a smoother, more consistent texture, improving the mouthfeel.
|Another thickening agent that works in conjunction with Xanthan Gum. It ensures the shake mixes well without clumping.
|A no-calorie sweetener. It is used to enhance the sweetness of the protein powder without adding extra calories or sugar.
|An artificial sweetener, often used in conjunction with Sucralose to provide a balanced sweetness, without contributing to the calorie content.
Ingredient Profile: 8.5. How not a 9? Macro composition needs to be above a 9 to get a 9 for ingredient profile. Doing the math, much of this ingredient list is used to help enhance the flavor of this protein powder.

My understanding about lactose free products in protein powders. If the label states lactose free, it’s lactose free.
Reading the label, the protein grade is not stated. Nowhere on the protein container is it stated “lactose free.”
Is Isotope a lactose free protein powder? Nope. I experienced mild bloating.

Best Time to Take Redcon1 Isotope
Isotope is a whey protein isolate. The best time to take Redcon1’s isolate is post-workout. Whey protein isolate is fast digesting.
Isolate proteins will help you muscles recover faster. It will get the job done. Isotope contains 25 grams of protein per serving.
Women, one scoop will be great to stimulate muscle protein synthesis. Men, you may want to do 2 scoops to help put on muscle mass.
Redcon’s WPI will help aid in recovery. The isolate will be a solid option as a snack. I wouldn’t recommend Isotope as an MRE because Isotope is a WPI. Isotope can be used throughout the day. I would not use this before a workout if you are lactose intolerant. Post workout is okay.
Macro Composition: 7.5. Just looking at the carbs and fat, it’s a great composition. This WPI contains 25g of protein that builds muscle. That should be the standard (and the norm) for all protein isolates.
Where Isotope falls off is the percentage of protein you are receiving per serving. It’s average in what to expect in the supplement industry. 27% of the ingredient list is help to enhance the flavor of Redcon1 Isotope. Best used post workout.
😋 Redcon1 Isotope Peanut Butter Chocolate Review
If you’ve been reading my reviews, if I see a picture of what the protein should taste like. It needs to taste like the picture. Redcon1 Isotope peanut butter chocolate doesn’t have a picture.
As you would expect from an alpha protein isolate, the container is a black label with big bold words.
Is chocolate peanut butter tasty?
The first time I took a swig of the stuff… “Drink past it.” The first shake was tough sledding. After a couple more shakes, my pallet adapted. It’s not that bad. That’s my non-answer.
My final answer, it’s above average. You would expect at the price you were paying for this protein powder, you’re expecting more.
Best Tasting Redcon1 Whey Protein Flavor
|Peanut Butter Chocolate
Looking over reviews on Amazon. Reviewers were critical of Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chocolate. Reviewers shared that Blueberry yogurt had a chemical taste. The best flavors are Mint Chocolate or Vanilla.
Flavor: 7.5. You’re left desiring more with chocolate peanut butter. Your first shake is like taking your first shot of Jack’s. For you kiddies, that’s whiskey. You’re expecting the flavor profile should be on point. Peanut Butter Chocolate is meh.
🎬 Is Redcon1 Protein Good?
Is REDCON1 protein good? Oh yea, it’s a GOOD protein! Negative opinions
- It’s not lactose free (experienced mild bloating)
- Flavor profile is “surprising” with your first taste
Mind you, I only tried the peanut butter chocolate flavor. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to adjust your flavor pallet for the next 29 shakes. You might want to go with a different flavor.
There’s a lot to love about Isotope!
- Mixes like a champ
- Minimal ingredient profile
If you want a good quality protein that isn’t going to break the bank. I highly recommend Isotope!

Staying with the military theme, MTN Ops Mangum scored 83%. Mixes great , awsome flavor profile, minimal ingredient profile, and aminio acid table on lable. The amount of gluatmine used will not help aid in recovery. It’s under dosed. Purchase direct with my affiliate link.
Great budget price isolate. My knock on Nutricost is the flavor profile is generic and you will experience the gas chamber effect. Scored 90%. Affiliate link.
The best isolate in the market. Scored 98%. Couple of the flavor profiles may not be as intense. Multiple price points to fit anyone’s budget. Purchase from my affiliate link.
Catering to the meat heads out there. Scored 80%. Not a fan of the strawberry flavor. Digestive enzymes to breakdown and absorb faster. No digestive enzymes. Affiliate link. Animal Whey Isolate is blended protein powder. Affiliate link.
Is Optimum Nutrition 100% isolate better than Redcon1 Isotope? No. ON 100% isolate is getting a (re)review after a couple of conversations with Optimum Nutrition service rep. If you want a 100% isolate that is nearly lactose free, ON 100% is a good choice. 100% Gold Standard Whey is the best blende protein you can purchase.
