Value: 6.0. You’re getting a proprietary blended protein. Seeing “proprietary blend,” may make you question buying MTN OPS protein. It’s okay. Glutamine is properly labeled with the specific amount. I’ll discuss more in Amino Spiking.

Is Mountain OPS Protein Powder Spiked?

A protein container stating the added ingredients help with post-workout recovery. That means: we put a cheap supplement in our product to make more money. Artificially raise the amount of protein with an amino acid.

If you are unaware, Glutamine is a cheap amino acid. Glutamine is used to inflate the amount of protein listed in the nutrition label.

The label states how much Glutamine is in the product. PERFECT!

An amino acid profile is printed on the label. Perfect. In fine print, “*amino acids occur naturally in protein.” AWESOME!

The ingredients list in Mountain OPS protein is very minimum.

Macro Composition: 7.5. Remove the cheap Glutamine from this protein powder. The “enhanced” recovery from Glutamine is negligible at best. The characteristic of a good protein isolate is here: low calorie, low fat, minimal GI distress.

How Does MTN OPS Protein Taste?

11 different flavors and a limited time flavor (birthday cake). I purchased Birthday Cake and Cookies & Cream. Cookies & Cream is good. Birthday Cake overstayed it’s welcome.

Flavor: 8.5. If you use milk with any of the flavors, it’s like you’re drinking a shake. Mixing with water, you’re left feeling empty. It’s good. If you’re in the field, deer stand, or hike, you’ll be ok with it. What you see is what you get for flavoring. I’m sure the other 9 flavors are anywhere between an 8 to 9.

Is MTN OPS a Good Brand?

Is MTN OPS a good protein brand? There are many positives about this protein!

First off, it mixes like a dream – no lumps or bumps, just smooth sailing whether you mix with water or milk. 🥛💪
