Opportuniteas Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate Review
Opportuniteas whey protein is a grass fed whey protein powder. Is there any real value and benefit in buyingOpportuniateas protein powders? It depends on your stance on how the cow should be treated (and your budget).
- Happier animals, less stress
- No growth hormones injected into the animal
- Not feed a grain diet (grass fed whey protein)
- Higher quality byproduct (milk)

Supplements Offered by Opportuniteas
This kind of begs the question, is buying a grass fed whey protein (or certified organic whey protein powder) worth the money? Let’s examine Opportuniteas grass fed whey protein powder isolate.
Opportuniteas focuses on grass fed and organic supplements
- Teas
- Collagen
- MCT oil
- Paleo
- Gluten Free
- Keto
- Protein Powders
Opportuniteas does offer a grass fed whey protein concentrate. I’d only suggest going that route if you’re able to digest milk.
Have you tried Opportuniteas Whey Protein or any other grass-fed protein powders? Share your experiences in the comments – I’m eager to hear your thoughts and how it compared for you!
Best Place to Buy Opportuniteas Grass Fed Protein Powder
The top two places you can buy Opportuniteas Grass-Fed Whey protein is their website or Amazon.com. Is there a price difference? YES! Everything is always cheaper through Amazon. Guess where I bought my bag?
Here’s why I went through Amazon: lightning sale. Why not?
There is a price difference on the 4 different protein isolate flavors that Opportuniteas offers (Unflavored, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Coffee). If you’re someone who doesn’t have any GI distress, there is Whey Protein Concentrate.
Whey Protein Concentrate
- $27.99, 14 servings, about $2 per serving
There are no bigger containers available for purchase.
Whey Protein Isolate (Chocolate)
- $28.99, 15 servings, $1.93 (normal price)
- $26.09, 15 servings, $1.74 (10% off, subscribe and save)
- $24.64, 15 servings, $1.64 (Amazon Lightning Deal)
The idea of Grass-Fed whey is that the cow is going to be in their more relaxed, free roaming, eating closer to their natural diet. With the idea of whey protein being Grass-Fed, you’re going to pay more for animals being treated fairly and a higher nutritional content.
Is paying $29 for a 1-pound of container going to be worth it? Opportuniateas is not going to be worth your money. You will learn why in these sections
- Macro Composition
- Scoop Controversy
- “Grass Fed”
Value: 5. There is only one size container for the flavored protein, that’s 1-pound. If there were more options available to save money, this might be a 6. There are issues with Opportuniteas “Grass-Fed” protein. Plus, a shady practice that I’ve never seen with other protein powders.
Opportuniteas Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate, Amino Acid Profile Review
It’s not a spiked protein. Looking at the simple ingredient list of this protein isolate (5 ingredients), there is nothing out of the ordinary.
Let’s look at the amino acid table… There isn’t one on the package. Fine, let’s contact Opportuniteas. This is what I was sent.
I did a followup email with Opportuniteas to confirm if this amino acid profile was correct. I never received a follow-up. Examining Opportunaiteas Vanilla Whey Protein Powder Isolate from the website, these are my issues
- Protein amount is off (22g on label)
- Sugar amount is off (7g on label)
- Potassium amount is off (30.87mg on label)
Is Opportuniteas Protein Powder Really Grass Fed?
How do you know if you’re grass-fed whey protein is GRASS FED?
I reviewed a grass-fed protein, Clean Simple Eats. I questioned if it was the highest quality grass-fed milk from New Zealand? NOPE.
Comparing Opportuniateas to Clean Simple Eats, Opportuniteas has a lower quality grass fed protein powder. I will reference AGN Root’s article “Grass Fed Whey Contains More BCAAs”
What are the “Big 3” amino acids for building and maintaining muscles? Isoleucine, Leucine, and Valine. Here are the listed amounts of BCAAs per 30g of serving in Opportuniieas Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate
- Isoleucine .528 g
- Leucine .829 g
- Valine .469 g
Total amount of naturally occurring BCAAs per 30g serving is 1.826 g.
AGN Roots article states any amount less than 4.3 grams of BCAAs per 25g of protein that, “…These animals are force-fed grain, struggle daily to find comforts, and this abuse should not be supported.”
For the highest grass fed protein powder, buy the unflavored isolate powder. The total amount of BCAAs per serving is 6 grams for 28 grams of protein. That will be a higher quality grass fed protein powder.
*If i get an updated amino acid profile from Opportuniteas, I’ll update the score.
Protein Spiking: 10 (Not Spiked). Everything is in order with this protein powder, it’s not spiked. You’re not receiving the higest quality grass fed isolate. I feel there are better grass fed proteins worth your money.
What’s the Best Way to Shake Opportuniteas Grass Fed Isolate?
Have you ever tried those Carnation instant breakfast packets? You know, those individual packaged breakfast where you just dump the powder into your milk, stir. That’s what you’re going to be getting if you use milk. Mixing with water is a 8.5. Mixing with milk is an 8.
Mixability: 8. Water works best. Mixing with milk is good.
Opportuniteas Whey Protein Ingredient Review
Not much to say about the ingredient profile. It’s simple and to the point.
Ingredient | Description |
---|---|
Whey Protein Isolate | This is the primary source of protein in the powder. It’s derived from whey and provides high-quality protein for muscle recovery and growth. |
Organic Cane Sugar | Organic cane sugar is added for flavor. It provides natural sweetness to enhance the taste of the protein powder. |
Organic Cacao | Organic cacao is used to provide a chocolate flavor to the protein powder, contributing to its taste. |
Himalayan Salt | Himalayan salt is included for flavor enhancement. It adds a touch of saltiness to balance and enhance the overall taste. |
Sunflower Lecithin | Sunflower lecithin is used as a thickener and emulsifier to improve the mixability and texture of the protein powder. It helps it dissolve more easily in liquids. |
I’ve shared my take on the ingredient profile, but I’m curious about yours. Do you prioritize grass-fed sources in your protein powders? Drop a comment below with your preferences and why!
Ingredient Profile: 10. 6 ingredients or less is an automatic 10.

- Total Fat 1g

Is Opportuniteas Whey Protein Isolate Lactose Free?
You will experience some level of bloating/GI distress. It’s not severe, some people will experience some level of mild discomfort. I know I did.
What’s the Scoop Size for Opportuniteas Protein Powder?
I always read the product reviews from customers and on the company’s website. One of the complaints repeated was the scoop was too big.
That’s odd… Why would a protein company throw in a bigger scoop?
Think about it. The company is already charging a premium for a 15 serving container. 2 scoops is one serving. Bigger serving scoop, means people buy more protein. I had to see for myself.
One full scoop is 22g. Two full scoops is 44g. Pretty shady if you ask me. You’re already paying $30 a bag for 15-servings. That 15 is now a little over 10-servings.
For comparison’s sake, I went ahead and looked at different brands I’ve reviewed . All the scoops measured out to one serving size.
Macro Composition: 1. Opportuniteas Grass-Fed Whey was sitting at a 6.5. Throw in a bigger scoop to mislead users. I’m droping the score. I’ve never reviewed a company that has put in a BIGGER scoop. Looking at the amino acid profile, go with the unflavored. Avoid any of the flavored proteins offered by Opportuniteas.
How Does Opportuniteas Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate Taste?
For Opportuniatieas grass fed protein to taste like chocolate milk, use milk. If you’re mixing this with water, your mileage will vary. It’s okay. You will taste and feel the sugar crystals. Chocolate is an after thought: 7. For anytime protein shake, I would encourage mixing it with milk. It always tastes like a milkshake.
Flavor 8. I took the middle road. If you’re drinking this with milk, you’ll love it. Drinking it with water, you get a subtle chocolate taste.
Is Opportuniteas Grass Fed Whey Protein Good For You?
There is a lot to like about Opportuniteas Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate
- Simple ingredients
- Solid chocolate flavor profile
Here are the issues.
Going off of the amino acid profile provided by Opportuniteas. You’re not getting the highest quality grass fed protein. You’re better off buying protein powder from a recognized, big brand.
The protein scoop.
A 1-pound bag of Opportuniteas Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate is almost $30. In that $30 bag, you’re only getting 15 servings! It’s shady for a company to throw in a scooper without any sign of a proper serving. The bag states a serving size is about “2 scoops,” 30 grams. 1 scoop is 22 grams, doubled up, that’s 44.
Using the “2 scoops” suggested by Opportuniteas, you’re only getting 10 servings in a bag…
What are the reasons why people buy grass fed whey protein?
- Higher amino acid profile
- Animal is in a non-stressed environment (happier)
- Animal is eating grass fed and not pumped full of hormones
This is at the bottom of average protein powder. Provide information to dazzle the buyer. “Our premium whey is from the milk of grass fed cows, hormone-free,” and you’re getting the highest quality organic ingredients.
- Over-priced
- Bigger scoop to use more protein
- Nutrients from “grass fed cows” is very low
If you want to support Opportuniteas, buy their UNFLAVORED grass fed whey. That will be the highest quality grass fed protein powder. Avoid any of their flavored protein powders. If I ever received an updated amino acid profile, I’ll update the score.
Now that you’ve read my review, what’s your verdict on Opportuniteas Whey Protein? Do you agree with my assessment, or do you see things differently? Let’s discuss in the comments – your insights are invaluable!

Good review.
One thing that amazes me is how often people don’t ask or care about the extraction method used for protein isolates.
There’s hydrolyzed protein, cross-microfiltration, low temperature processing, etc.
It matters A LOT how the proteins are extracted.
I see that Opportuniteas does not tell us on their web site or anywhere else it is sold what their extraction method is. I would say this is common when the company is using a cheap, inferior method.
Too bad – it might have been worth trying otherwise.
