📖 Alani Protein Powder Review Details
“What’s a good protein I should take after a workout out?”
The follow-up question would always be…
“I’m not going to get bulky, am I?”
I understand that majority of women don’t want to gain weight and bulkeup.
Alani Nu is a supplement company that targets women as their niche. Workout supplements for women. I loathe the term “protein for women.” Or “What’s the best protein for women to use after a workout?”
Let’s dive into the review to see if Alani Nu protein powder is a good protein choice for women.
💰 Where To Buy Alani Nu Protein Powder?
I fimly believe the best place to buy Alani Nu protein powder is at Walmart. Walmart is offering a 15-serving container that was too good of a deal to refuse.
You’re probably thinking…
What’s whey protein Hydrolysate? Bodybuilding.com has a great article on what is protein hydroslate. Don’t want to read the article? Here are my Spark Notes for protein hydrolysate.
- Protein hydrolysate is easier to digest
- Stimulates muscle growth, muscle protein synthesis (MPS)
- Hydrolysate protein is expensive
How come I didn’t go through Amazon? There are four different lip-smackers at four different price points. Walmart had the best price.
What about buying direct from Alani Nu? See the math. If you want that free S&H, you need to buy $50 of product. If you’re looking for a four interest free payments, that isn’t an option through Alani Nu.
Walmart Exclusive, 15 protein shakes
15 beverages, $19.96, $1.33 per shake.
Alani Nu, 30 protein powders tub (Subscribe & Save Price)
30 beverages, $44.99, $1.50 per shake ($1.42 per serving)
😌 Money-Back Guarantee
Alani Nu does have a return policy on products purchased through Alani Nu.
Price: 7. Emphasis on high quality protein, isolate and hydroslate. PLUS, seeing lactase for us Asians and lactose intolerant individuals is a welcoming surprise! This protein is starting to look like a good protein for women.
🤯 Is Alani Whey Protein Amino Spiked?
I’m simplifying amino spiking grade.
- 10. Amino acid table on the container or is provided by the company via email
- 5. No amino acid table means the product is probably spiked
- 1. No amino acid table, lied by CSR, horrible customer service
Going back to my unbiased BSN Syntha-6 review. Supplement companies are getting smarter about not listing all ingredients in their protein powders. Request an amino acid profile. Protein naturally has between 10% to 11% naturally occurring Leucine, a BCAA. Alani Nu doesn’t have an amino acid profile listed.
Alani Nu Amino Acid Request
I reached out to Alani Nu for an amino acid table. I was surprised by the CSR’s response!
Alani Nu Amino Acid Profile Request Update
It took awhile for them to provide an update. As such, I’m not surprised. Are you? A non-answer. Thanks for the info about the Digezyme. I have a difficult time reading the ingredient list.
Amino Spiking: 5 (Questionable). 4 weeks ago, I reached out for an AA profile. No amino acid profile provided.
🤝 How Does This Whey Protein Powder Mix in a Shaker?
The protein powder mixes like a queen. No problems. Never had any clumps on the side of my shaker cup, not at the top of my blender bottle. Never had any dry clumps within the shake itself.
Protein Shake Mix: 10. Mixes like a boss lady! Women, you don’t have to worry about this protein powder clumping up your shaker. Alani Nu is a good protein powder for women that mixes great.

Should Females Take Protein Powder?
Yes. Females should take protein. However, it’s not a clear cut yes. Here’s why…
As I share with all of my clients. Focus on whole foods first. Eating whole foods will keep you full. If you’re not vegan, your protein intake should be focused around these whole foods
- Lean cuts beef
- Chicken
- Fish
- Greek Yogurt
- Egg Whites
Those 5 protein packed whole foods, should be your daily staple foods. If you’re someone who is still struggling to hit your daily protein goal. Then you should add in a quality protein powder supplement. Supplements help fill those deffincies in your daily diet.
How much protein should you be getting daily?
Miss, if you’re not physically active, aim to get .36 to .45 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. If you’re 195 pounds. Aim for 68 to 88 grams of protein daily.
Is Protein Powder Good For Women’s Weight Loss?
If you goal is to lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit.
That means changing your dietary habits. Saying no to those foods that make you want to sink into you blanket deeper while binge watching your favorite Netflix show… HEY, I KNOW HOW IT GOES!
Can Alani Nu protein powder be an effective tool your in your weight loss closest?
Yes. Especially if you’re on a exercise routine.
However, if you’re someone who is starting your weight loss journey (CONGRATS, KEEP MOVING FORWARD!). Alani Nu is a tough recommendation, especially if you’re using water to shake it up.
If you still have calories left in the day. I’d mix up Alani Nu with milk or oat milk before bed.
If you expect Alani Nu to keep you full from breakfast to lunch–GOOD LUCK!
Protein Powder For Women’s Muscle Growth
Alani Nu is a great tasting protein.
However, there are some problems with Alani Nu’s protein profile… No amino acid profile. That 23 grams of listed protein could be less.
If your goal is to stimulate muscle protein synthesis. Women, you need to have at least 20 grams of protein. If you’re someone who is bigger, you may even go as much as 30 grams.
Could Alani Nu be that protein powder to help pack on muscle? Yes.
However, you may need to be going with at least 1 and 1/4 scoops post workout.
Nutrition Facts: 8. Salt profile is 1/7 of your daily value. All the extra ingredients to make munchies delicious. The 4 seasonings are near 80%. If you’re worried about digestive issues, bloating, or putting others in a “protein gas chamber…”
😋 What does the Alani Nu Munchies Shake Tastes like?
Munchies is throwing in all of your favorite baked sweet and salty foods. Crumble it up. Throw it in a shake.
I thought it was good. Near the end of the tube, I did get bored drinking it. Minor gripe… Most of the crumblies fall to the bottom of the shaker bottle. Those crumblies go straight to the sink. It’s a nice thought, could use better execution.
Taste-profiles are limited to just 5. I’m surprised that vanilla or chocolate are not standard. Other Alani Nu protein powder flavors are…
- Fruity cereal (the best Alani Nu protein shake flavor)
- Frosted Flurry
- Peanut Butter Brownie (best seller, it’s always out)
- Confetti Cake
Flavor: 8. Munchies tastes great. It matched the picture. I was smiling after drinking Alani Nu protein powder.
🎬 Is Alani Nu Protein Powder Good For You?
Is Alani Nu Protein Powder Good For You? Let’s cut through the fluff. “Protein for women” sounds as gimmicky as “yoga mats for left-handed people.” Protein’s protein, whether you’re male, female, or a Martian.
Alani Nu’s got some perks. Its flavors? Limited but like a well-curated playlist. Digestive enzymes? They’re your belly’s best friends, waving goodbye to bloating and awkward ‘excuse-me’s. But here’s the rub:
- Salt’s playing a bit too high in the mix.
- One-size-fits-all packaging? Not exactly the epitome of choice.
- And that elusive amino acid profile? It’s playing hide and seek, and not in a fun way.
For a steal, hit up Walmart. Alani Nu’s strutting its stuff in the supplement aisle, and at $19.99, it’s almost a flirt.
So, is Alani Nu your protein soulmate? It’s no knight in shining armor, but it’s not a dud on a first date either. Worth a swig? Absolutely. But keep those eyes peeled and those options open.
