📖 Antler Farms Whey Protein Isolate Review Details
This particular request marks my final unbiased protein review of 2023.
Recall my review of Clean Simple Eats‘ grass-fed whey protein, where I discussed protein companies’ widespread use of ‘100% grass-fed whey’ stamps. Resulting in overcharging for a mediocre protein powder.
That stamp is supposed to mean a higher quality of protein and more protein per serving.
Using my certification from ISSN as a Sports Supplementation Specialist, we found that Clean Simple Eats protein powder is just a low-quality grass-fed protein supplement. I’m not saying the protein powder in Clean Simple Eats isn’t “100% of the protein from grass-fed cows.’
I’m sharing that grass fed protein in Clean Simple Eats isn’t the highest quality whey your money can buy.
Let’s explore two critical questions that buyers frequently ask:
- Is Antler Farms New Zealand Whey Protein Isolate legit?

Price 9 out of 10. Reviews are all suggestive. What I value in a protein may not be something you value if you’re looking for a clean, minimally processed powder. Price isn’t going to be an issue. My knock on Antler Farms is the lack of value packaging. Then again, nobody will offer a value bag for grass-fed protein powder.
🤯 Is Antler Farms Protein Powder Legit
An amino acid profile is printed on the label–fantastic!
Now, let’s determine if this grass-fed protein truly justifies its cost.
Why Antler Farms Grass Fed Whey Stands Out
If you visited my last protein review, Clean Simple Eats Protein. I discussed that most protein sellers are putting a stamp on their products, “100% Grass Fed Whey.”
You must ask yourself, “Is this the highest quality grass-fed protein I’m buying?”
AGN has a fantastic article that helps people determine if the grass-fed protein powder they’re buying is worth their money. Their information is based on 25 grams of protein. I’ve adjusted that graph to fit Antler Farms’ grass-fed protein, which has 26 grams per serving.
Antler Farms New Zealand Isolate has the following amount of BCAAs per serving.
- Leucine 4.004g
- Isoleucine 1.764g
- Valine 1.568g
- Total BCAAs 7.336 grams
How Many Grams of BCAAs Should Be in My Grassfed Protein with 26 Grams?
Quality Level | BCAAs per 26g of Protein | Source of Whey | Characteristics |
Low Quality | Less than 4.94 grams | Cows not well-treated, often fed grains | Often labeled as organic, cows mostly fed grass, sometimes grains |
Medium Quality | 4.94 to 5.71 grams | Best quality, suitable for severe health and fitness enthusiasts | A good balance of quality and value; varies in quality |
Highest Quality | Above 5.71 grams | Cows mostly or only grass-fed, like in Northern California or New Zealand | Best quality, suitable for serious health and fitness enthusiasts |
Antler Farms has 26 grams of protein per serving and 7.336 grams of BCAAs per serving. The 100% grass-fed label on every Antler Farms package is of the highest quality.

⚖️ Does Antler Farms Protein Come With a Scoop?
🏋️♂️ Is Antler Farms a Meal Replacement or Post Workout Shake?
You are best to use Antler Farms isolate as a post-workout shake.
Or if you’re someone who donates plasma. You are very aware of the plasma screening process. To get that bump in your protein score, drink 2 servings 45 minutes before donation. You’ll pass every time.
I’ve used Antler Farms as a meal replacement. It’s not effective as a stand-alone. If you use Antler Farms as a meal replacement, you may have to go up to 3 servings. The other alternative is to mix it with milk.
Nutrition Facts: 8.5 out of 10. The amount of protein per serving is near the top for flavored proteins.
😋 Does Antler Farms Protein Taste Good?
Here’s my one knock about cold processed protein powders: you want more flavor.
Cold filtering removes many impurities from the isolate, including carbohydrates and fat. Removing carbohydrates and fat will affect the flavor profile of the protein isolate.
I’m willing to take less flavor over GI issues caused by dairy products. Does Antler Farms vanilla protein taste good?
Yup, it tastes like vanilla… But there is something odd about how the vanilla tastes after drinking.
The vanilla is there. Then, an odd flat taste comes rushing in for the after-party. It’s not off-putting but noticeable.
Comment below and let me know if you’ve tried Antler Farms vanilla. Do you agree with my Antler Farms Whey Protein Isolate Review of the vanilla flavor?
What Flavors of Antler Farms Protein is Available?
There are a total of 5 different flavors you can purchase.
- Unflavored
- Vanilla
- Chocolate
- Mixed Berry
- Peanut Butter Chocolate
The majority of the buyers have echoed my sentiments. It tastes excellent, is not too overpowering, and is not overly sweet.
The negative reviews are far and few, ranging from quality issues, being too sweet, and causing headaches.
Flavor 7 out of 10. There’s an odd aftertaste. That aftertaste is derived from the overly-used stevia. If your tastebuds are sensitive to stevia, you will not like the medicinal aftertaste.
