As I shared in The Whey review, it’s not entirely clear if MyProtein is willing to accept returns on open protein containers.

Your best bet is to chat with a representative to see if they can resolve your issue. In my experience, you won’t have any luck returning opened bags of protein. So here is your “buyer beware.” 

Price 6 out of 10. This is my 3rd MyProtein unbiased review. There is another in the pipeline. What you are receiving is a perceived great deal. In turn, is lacking in a quality supplement. If you’re on a budget, it’s still a hard recommendation. You’re only getting “20 grams of protein” per serving. I use quotes because that’s a questionable 20 grams.

🤯 MyProtein Clear Whey Amino Acid Spiking?

If you read my previous review on MyProtein’s, The Whey. MyProtein did not provide a follow-up nor any information about an amino acid table for The Whey.

I reached out for an amino acid table for Clear Whey Isolate. I never got anything. 

Reading the label, there are no reason to believe that this product could be amino spiked. However, the burden of proof should be on the buyer or reader to determine if a protein powder offers the full amount of protein per serving. 

When MyProtein states…

“Clear Whey Isolate boasts 4g of BCAAs and 3g of glutamine– amino acids that will help support your muscle growth and energy levels”

I want an amino acid table to see that information for myself.  

Amino Spiking 5 out of 10. MyProtein provides no amino acid profile. However, it is certified Informed Protein. The low price of Clear Whey Isolate is due to the assumed low-quality protein.

🤝 How Does MyProtein Clear Whey Isolate Lemonade Mix?

Follow the directions listed on the container.

• Add one scoop to 10 to 12 fl oz of water
• Shake
• Settle for at least 15 seconds

You will notice that Clear Whey becomes super frothy. Be patient. Let it settle down and relax before enjoying it.

Protein Shake Mix 10 out of 10. You might be concerned when you shake this protein powder. But after it settles, there are no chucks or any dry spots. Mixes like a boss, just like all of MyProtein’s powders.

Protein Ingredients: 8.5 out of 10. If you’re an anti-artificial person. Avoid MyProtein’s Clear Whey Isolate. Avoid at all costs. I’ve never taken points off for artificial flavors. Stevia is not a listed ingredient–BIG PLUS! This protein is not sugar-free.

The listed amount of sugar versus what is advertised as zero sugar is false advertising. This product’s sugar is less than the government requirement standard for listing. There is sugar in MyProtein Clear Isolate, not enough to quantify a listing. 

🍗 How Much Protein Does MyProtein Lemonade Clear Whey Have Per Serving?

20 grams of protein / 25 gram serving size = 80% protein per serving

🍨 Is Clear Whey Isolate by MyProtein Lactose Free?

MyProtein clear isolates are not lactose free. Nor is it gluten free. 

Did I have any GI problems?

No major issues. Slight GI distress and tummy rumbles. 

⚖️ What’s the Scoop Size of MyProtein’s Clear Whey?

What is advertised on MyProtein’s label is precisely what you get with a scoop.

🏋️‍♂️ Is MyProtein’s Clear Whey A Meal Replacement or Post Workout Shake?

Isolates are fast digesting. Your best bet is to take this post-workout. 

If you use clear whey, isolate as a meal replacement or shake anytime, you’ll feel that urge to eat again in 45 minutes. 

Nutrition Facts 8 out of 10. 80% protein per serving, I’m happy with that… My issue is that you’re only getting 20 grams of protein. You ladies, that is the minimum amount to stimulate MPS. You guys, an entire 1-pound canister equates to only 10 servings. Ehh…

😋 Does MyProtein’s Clear Whey Taste Good?

If you’re tired of the typical protein powder flavors, MyProtein’s Clear Whey is refreshing. 

Lemonade isn’t too tart. Some might say that it’s too sweet. I think it’s great.

Flavor 8.5 out of 10. I’ve tried a couple of other clear whey isolates. One was too tart, the other was too sweet. This one is just right. Lemonade tastes like lemonade. I almost had to do a double take to see if there were carbs in this protein because it wasn’t overly too sweet.

• A consistent issue with MyProtein – can we trust the protein quality?

• Tired of milk-flavored protein powders? This lemonade flavor is a breath of fresh air.

💪 But Here’s the Catch:

• Post-workout, your muscles crave protein. Aim for 0.14 to 0.23 grams per pound of body weight.
• If you’re over 200 pounds, you need 28 to 46 grams post-gym. Clear Whey’s 20 grams per serving doesn’t cut it.

🏋️‍♂️ Not for the Hardcore:

• Clear Whey might fall short of your needs if you’re seriously into building muscle.

🍋 Bottom Line:

For those looking for a tasty, easy-to-mix protein that’s not too heavy on the pocket, MyProtein’s Clear Whey Isolate Lemonade is a solid pick. But for the severe muscle builders, you might want to look elsewhere for your protein fix.

My only MAJOR gripe…

ONE size with only 15-servings. Give consumers a choice between a small container vs a big container. I’ll always buy the value size. Everyone likes choices!

Clear Whey Protein is a great product and I have no problems recommending. If you’re bored with the standard protein flavors and want something tart that feels like summer. This is a great product that will always leave you satisfied…

Clear Whey actually had an amino acid profile printed on the label!

Unfortunately, Clear Whey Protein is no longer available for purchase. Such an excellent protein.
