Unbiased MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate Review
So many thoughts are going through my head doing this version of MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate unbiased protein (re)review.
- Does my original MyProtein isolate whey protein review still hold up?
- Differences between the 2020 and 2023 formulation
- Is MyProtein Whey Isolate good?
- I can’t believe I’m still doing self-funded unbiased protein reviews.
Let’s get into this MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review, review to see if it’s worth your money!
Solid Protein Booster with Room for Flavor Improvement
MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate states a high-protein content.
Upon requesting an amino acid profile, can you truly believe you are getting 20 grams of high-protein per serving?
However, it’s worth noting the product is processed in a facility handling allergens like eggs and gluten.
I have no problem with the use of sucralose. The taste may be overly sweet for some.
- Budget-priced
- Variety of flavors and sizes
- Informed Protein certified
- No amino acid profile
- Processed in a facility with allergens
- Contains artificial sweetener
- Protein quality concerns

📖 Impact Whey Review Details
In 2023 I have done (re)review of the following protein powders:
What’s changed in MyProtein Impact Isolate in 2023?
Syntha-6 made their protein powder less expensive by changing the formula. BSN took some amino acids off their ingredients list. I doubt BSN removed amino acids from their product because they haven’t shown a detailed list of amino acids.
About Pure Choice Farms Isolate, nothing has changed. Pure Choice has expanded their protein powder line. Pure Choice Farms is still the best protein powder you can purchase.
💰 How is MyProtein Whey Isolate So Cheap?
That’s the age-old question when anyone ever visits MyProtein.com. Why and how are MyProtein powders so cheap?!
Although MyProtein may not be the highest-quality protein powder you can purchase, it offers great value for the price.
Isolate protein can be pricey. Visit MyProtein’s website. You are just bombarded with constant sales.
- 40% off when you provide an email
- 35% off on select products and attire
- If you’re near a recognized holiday, sales as much as 50% off
If you’re waiting to jumpstart your New Year’s Resolution of weight loss, I 100% guarantee there will be a sale.
What’s the normal price of Impact Whey Isolate? Is there a subscribe and save option? And what did I pay for my 1kg bag with 40 servings?
- Regular price of $64.99 for 40 servings, $1.62 per serving
- Amazon is the only place for a S&S $53.17, 40 servings, $1.33 per serving
- I paid $37.69 for 40 servings, .95 per serving
You can still purchase 5.5- and 11-pound containers. Do not purchase MyProtein powders at full retail price. Always wait for a sale. You could consider .86 center per serving when you purchase on sale.
What Did I Pay For Impact Isolate in 2020?
Let’s look at an excerpt from my original MyProtein Isolate review for comparison.
MyProtein is always on sale. You will not find a cheaper protein per serving! Sales can vary from 35% to almost 50% off. The 35% off sale usually happens around major holidays, like Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. The significant 50% off sale happens four times a year. MyProtein has significant sales during New Year’s, Cyber Monday, and Black Friday.
- 200 Servings (11 pounds), $140, .70 cents per serving
- 100 servings (5.5 pounds), $80, .80 cents per serving
- 40 servings (2 pounds), $40, $1.00 per serving
😌 Money-Back Guarantee
MyProtein does not offer a money-back guarantee. If you have issues with your delivery, it’s best to contact their customer service through the chat function.
Value: 5 out of 10. My rating system has changed, even though the price per serving is almost the same. MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate is not a good protein. I still have difficulty recommending It if you’re on a budget. You don’t get 21 grams of protein from a 100% milk source. Impact Isolate may contain amino acids that are not listed on the label.
In regards to value, Is MyProtein Whey Isolate good? You bet it is!
🤯 Does Myprotein Amino Spike?
When I originally wrote my first MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review, I wondered, ” Does Myprotein Amino Spike?”
I didn’t state that it was a spiked protein, but I did question the legitimacy of some of the statements on the bag. Fast-forward to 2023.
I’m still questioning the legitimacy of the amount of protein listed on any MyProtein protein supplement.
Reading the label Impact Whey Isolate doesn’t suggest that the protein may contain added amino acids.
Returning to my previous MyProtein powder product reviews: The Whey and Clear Whey Isolate. MyProtein customer service did not provide a requested amino acid profile. They were nice enough to close my service request ticket.
Do I feel that MyProtein Whey Isolate has added BCAAs in the 2023 formula? Yes.
In the 2020 formula, MyProtein advertised the amount of glutamine and BCAAs in Impact Whey Isolate on the front of the label. I have questions that need answers.
- Is that a total BCAAs of 4.5g?
- Is that 3.5 grams of glutamine part of the amino acid profile, or is that added?
- Where can I find an amino acid profile?
Is MyProtein Legit?
MyProtein has undergone a rebranding. I, and I’m sure many other reviewers, questioned the quality of the protein powder you are purchasing. I contacted MyProtein’s live chat feature. Safe to say, I wasn’t surprised with their response.
Of course, I did not receive an amino acid profile for any of the requested protein powders. It’s excellent for MyProtein to be certified as an Informed Protein. So, whatever amount is listed on your container has been verified.
MyProtein powders are inexpensive because they are imported from India and sourced from low-quality whey distributors. However, MyProtein won’t share an amino acid profile because the leucine content falls below 10%.
How Many Scoops of MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate Post-Workout?
A standard 21-gram protein serving may offer between 1.68 grams and 1.89 grams of leucine. Research suggests that your post-workout shake should contain at least 25 grams of protein and up to 3 grams of leucine.
Generally, you should take 1.3 to 1.5 scoops of MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate post-workout to stimulate MPS. Is MyProtein Whey Isolate good post-workout? You need more Impact Isolate post-workout to stimulate MPS.
Protein Spiking 5 out of 10. Does MyProtein amino spike? Without an amino acid profile, YUP. I’m questioning the amount of protein listed in the nutrition facts. 21 grams of protein would sound more reassuring when you can analyze an amino acid profile.
Update: It’s a nice touch. MyProtein made the effort to be certified by Informed Protein. However, the issue still stems from protein quality per bag. It’s very possible that each serving of MyProtein protein powders falls below the 10% leucine per serving. The leucine quality may only be between 8% to 9%.
What are your thoughts on my MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review? Do you think MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate is amino spiked? Do you agree with my MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review score? Protein quality Is MyProtein Whey Isolate good? Without an amino acid profile, I’m saying no.
🤝 How Does MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate Mix
Every MyProtein product that I have reviewed has always been extraordinary!
⚖️Powder Scoop Size
A full scoop is 5 grams over the serving size. I’m not too fond of that.
Mixability: 10 out of 10. Even though I don’t mix Impact Isolate in food… I wouldn’t do it. Mixing with any liquid, you always have a painless time shaking in your shaker bottle.
Do you expect a scoop to be near to one serving? Comment below and let me know.

- Listening to consumer suggestions and preference
- Change in government regulations
- Improved taste
- Cost savings
Protein Ingredients: 7 out of 10. I enjoy seeing a minimal ingredient list, even though Impact Isolate has the basics. I’m still questioning if added amigos are going unlisted. MyProtein did a bag change. Are you getting an actual 21 grams of protein listed? That’s your buyer beware.
Are you a runner? I want to know if you select a protein powder based on the ingredient profile. If you’re looking for a protein powder for runners, check out my unbiased Silver Star Nutrition Protein Isolate review.

🏋️♂️ Is Impact Isolate Best Used as A Meal Replacement or Post Workout Shake?
Isolates are fast digesting. Your body may fully digest Impact Isolate within 30 to 45 minutes of drinking. So, your best bet is to take Impact Isolate post-workout.
You could use this protein anytime. However, it won’t satisfy your hunger, so don’t use it as a meal replacement.
Nutrition Facts: 7 out of 10. I always grade Nutrition Facts based on the percent of protein per serving. Why not an 8.5 score? MyProtein does not share the complete ingredient list. I firmly believe that some of the 21 grams of protein are from added amino acids.
If you want an alternative protein powder, read my Bowmar Protein review. I share why it may be worth examining. Do you agree with my MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review on when you should use it?
😋 Does Whey Protein Taste Good With Water
If you can’t get the flavor right, you will have a bad time. Even though no stevia is listed on the label, MyProtein’s Impact Isolate tastes overly sweet, just like it did in 2020. This protein is not for me.

Flavor 7 out of 10. I’ve tried all the My Protein flavor profiles. Even though it’s been a while since I drank Impact Whey Clear Isolate, it is my favorite flavor profile offered by MyProtein. A distant second is The Whey. Finally, Impact Isolate is at the very bottom third.
Have you drank a MyProtein shake before? Is MyProtein Whey Isolate good for flavor?
🎬 Final Thoughts if MyProtein’s Impact Whey is Any Good
After doing my first JKremmer Fitness unbiased MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review in August 2020. I can’t believe I’m still putting out monthly reviews on protein powders.
Is MyProtein’s Impact? Why Isolate a Good Protein? Is it worth a purchase going into 2024? That depends on your goal.
If you’re starting a workout regimen or perhaps a New Year, New Me individual, and you want cheap protein, MyProtein will appeal to you for the following reasons.
- Positive reviews on MyProtein’s website
- A minimum of 35% off sale (or more)
- The amount of protein you are getting per container is surprising
- The market is saturated with so many different protein’s you want to get one
Hey, I get it! I’ve been there before because you don’t know which is a good value. However, here’s my reason why you should avoid MyProtein products…
No amino acid profile.
The 2020 profile of MyProtein Isolate clearly showed the amount of BCAAs and Glutamine in Impact Isolate. In 2023, MyProtein decided to drop that information. Are you getting 21 grams of protein per serving? I firmly believe you could get a minimum of 13 grams from a dairy-based protein…
Sure, you may be getting the listed 21 grams of protein, but the actual is a total combined protein from all sources. Since you don’t have an amino acid profile, you’re probably getting some protein isolate from milk. And then probably 8 grams of added amino acids not listed in the ingredient list.
The flavor profile isn’t going to be for everyone. I feel it’s too sweet.
Concluding this MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate review, MyProtein offers a great budget protein. However, this is your last warning… BUYER BEWARE. Is MyProtein Whey Isolate good? This reviewer says no.

💥 MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate Vs Dymatize Iso 100
I’ve already compared MyProtein Isolate versus Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard.
When Gold Standard is compared to Impact Isolate, the two knocks I have against Gold Standard
- Tri-blend protein
- Amount of servings per container
The reason why Gold Standard is superior to MyProtein Impact Isolate
- Amazing flavor profile
- The amino acid profile is available
- It can be purchased virtually anywhere
Why not compare MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate Vs Dymatize ISO 100?
I have previously reviewed Dymatize ISO 100. Here is what I said in my final review.
My only negative about this product is the value per container. Yes, the big value is in the 5-pound container. If you walked into a supplement store and you saw ISO100 in a 1.6-pound container at $29.99 versus a 5-pound container for $70, 8 out of 10 people will grab the smaller container.
I understand that Dymatize needs to pay for that nice seal of approval from a neutral third-party tester, the nice label for the consumer to read, and their marketing campaign to show the world.
I’ll pay more for a quality protein supplement. No problem, recommending Dymatize ISO100.
Protein powder review of Dymatize ISO 100
What makes Dymatize ISO 100 a good protein?
- Hydrolyzed protein to better digestion
- 100% isolate (2 isolate blend hydrolyzed isolate and isolate)
- I wouldn’t recommend birthday cake because of stevia
Between MyProtein Impact Isolate and Dymatize ISO 100, I think ISO 100 is better. Here’s why…
An amino acid profile is readily available on Dymatize’s website.
Even though you are getting fewer servings per container with Dymatize. You know you are getting the total dairy-based protein isolate listed on the nutrition label.
